Clear answers about primiHorse, cameras, pricing and alerts.
- What is primiHorse?
- primiHorse is AI horse behaviour and activity monitoring software. It analyses visible activity through your stable camera and sends alerts when something looks unusual.
- Do I need special primiHorse hardware?
- No. primiHorse works with compatible cameras you already own. EZVIZ, Imou and Dahua DoLynk NVR/DVR cameras can connect via cloud/P2P without a static public IP. Other cameras may require RTSP, ONVIF or a reachable public endpoint.
- Does primiHorse diagnose illness or colic?
- No. primiHorse observes visible activity and behaviour. It does not diagnose medical conditions and is not a replacement for veterinary care. Contact a qualified veterinary surgeon if you are concerned about your horse.
- Which cameras are supported today?
- EZVIZ and Imou cloud/P2P, plus Dahua NVR/DVR via DoLynk cloud, are available now and need no static IP. RTSP, ONVIF and static/public endpoint connections are supported for compatible IP cameras. Hikvision and Dahua cameras are also supported through your NVR or DVR over the network: add the recorder once and choose only the channels covering the stables you want watched. EZVIZ is Hikvision's consumer brand and Imou is Dahua's — labelled cameras can use the simpler cloud route. Tuya cloud is coming soon.
- Can I set the cameras up myself?
- With EZVIZ, Imou or a Dahua recorder on DoLynk, yes — add the device in the app with its serial number and verification / device password and you are finished, with no static IP and nothing to change on your router. Dahua recorders must be removed from any personal DMSS account first. Every other make needs your router configured: a port forward for the camera or recorder, and usually a static IP or dynamic DNS from your broadband provider. Step-by-step instructions and common error fixes are in the Help Centre guide How to add cameras.
- How much does primiHorse cost?
- One price list: £24.99 per month for your first camera and £15 per month for every camera after it. The Stable Plan covers up to four cameras and the Yard & Equestrian Centre Plan takes over from the fifth, but the rate is the same on both — so four stables is £69.99 a month, ten is £159.99 and sixty is £909.99. AI monitoring is included on every camera and there is no camera limit. You do not need to add all your cameras at once: add them whenever you are ready and your plan follows. For a limited time, new subscriptions get 25% off the first month automatically.
- Do horses need to wear anything?
- No wearable is required. Monitoring uses your stable camera and AI analysis of visible activity.
- Is there a mobile app?
- Web access and an Android APK are available today. iOS is coming soon.
- How do alerts work?
- primiHorse can alert you to prolonged inactivity, extended lying down, pacing, unusual activity, a horse not detected in the stable, a person entering the monitored area, and camera offline or obstructed events — based on visible behaviour, not medical diagnosis.
